Ya me lo decía el Sebas: «el próximo concierto no te lo puedes perder, el griego sopla que es un gusto». Por «próximo concierto» se refería al concierto que iba a haber el día 18 del pasado Octubre, y por griego se refería al saxofonista Thanos Athanasopoulos.
Sebas told me, “You just can’t miss next concert, the Greek blows beautifully”. By saying “next concert” he meant the one that was scheduled for last October 18th, and by “the Greek” he referred to saxophonist Thanos Athanasopoulos.
Athanasopoulos forma este cuarteto de la mano del guitarrista de Lugo Marcos Pin y sin duda se entiende muy bien entre ellos.

No quiero enrollarme mucho sobre el concierto, guardo tan buen recuerdo que no quiero embadurnarlo de palabras, pero para los que no estuvisteis os puedo decir que fue soberbio e intimo. Los músicos estaban muy a gusto. Tocaron un jazz con bastante swing, muy agradable y muy matizado. La calidez que lanzaban las notas del saxofón de Athanasopoulos y el buen acompañamiento que tuvo del resto de los músicos -del bateria LAR Legido, el bajista Paco Charlín y el pianista Manuel Gutierrez– hizo que la noche fuera irrepetible.
I won’t be extensive about the concert; I keep so great memories about it that I don’t really want to mess them up with words. For those who were not there, let me tell you it was both superb and intimate. The musicians seemed to feel so comfortable. They played a pleasant jazz with swing and also rich in nuances. The warmness of the notes coming from Ahtanasopoulos’ saxophone, together with his nice partner’s musical company, made it a unique night. The line-up included LAR Legido on drums, Paco Charlín on bass and pianist Manuel Gutierrez.
